Is early arrival or late check-in possible?

In most situations we should be able to accommodate your early arrival or late check-out needs. Email starrycreekranch@gmail.com with your request and we will do our best to assist you.

What is the Wi-Fi like? How do I use the television?

High speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the ranch house. Password is given upon arrival for easy connection.
There are two ways to activate televisions: 1) Access the internet and sign in to your Netflix or other accounts using your username and password. 2) Use an HDMI cable to hook up a laptop and play anything accessible on the laptop.

Where's the nearest grocery store?

Brookshire Brothers in Hamilton is 15 miles from Starry Creek Ranch. The address is 1004 E Main Street, Hamilton, TX 76531. Other nearby grocery stores are in Meridian, Hico, and Clifton.

Where's the nearest gas station?

Conoco Gas/Convenience Store is 4 miles from Starry Creek Ranch. The address is 13530 E State Hwy 22, Cranfills Gap, 76637

Where's the nearest place to get a bite to eat?

The Horny Toad Bar and Grill in Cranfills Gap is 4 miles from Starry Creek Ranch. It serves hamburgers, Tex-Mex, and homes-style food and is open Wednesday through Sunday. For more information see: http://www.hornytoadbar.com/

What is included in the kitchen?

Our gourmet kitchen includes a gas cooktop, two gas ovens, two sinks, dishwasher, trash compactor, refrigerator, freezer, coffee bar, microwave, pantry, silverware, plates, bowls, and a generous assortment of basic cooking and baking utensils. What is the parking situation?

The Starry Creek Ranch House has a two car attached garage for your use. A driveway is also available to park additional vehicles. Parking is included in the basic fee; there are no add-on parking charges.

Can I bring my pet?

Although we are huge pet lovers, we cannot accommodate pets at this time.

What is your cancellation policy?

Full payment is due at time of booking. To cancel, email starrycreekranch@gmail.com
Full refund, minus a $50 cancellation fee, will be given when you cancel at least 60 days before check-in. 50% refund when you cancel at least 30 days before check-in. No refund will be issued when you cancel less than 30 days before check-in. All cancellations must be made by 11:59 P.M. CST to fall under the cancellation policy.

What is the best way to get around on the ranch?

There are many beautiful areas to hike by foot or with a bike. A gravel road meanders from the front of the ranch to the far back. You are welcome to drive your vehicle on the road, but should do so with caution, as it could cause damage to your tires. You are also welcome to bring your own utility vehicle or golf cart. To avoid hazards, vehicles should stay on the road. The Indian cavern is only accessible by foot, but you are able to get fairly close with a vehicle and then hike the rest of the way.

Do you allow hunting?

No, we do not allow hunting at this time.

Do I need a fishing license to fish in your pond?

You do not need a license to fish in our pond.

Is rock climbing allowed?

No, bouldering, rappelling, and rock climbing are not allowed. Not only is it a liability issue, but the cavern walls are porous and susceptible to chipping and breaking. We want to preserve the cavern area for future guests and the next generation. Siloville, a climbing and zipline site, is right down the road and should be able to satisfy all your climbing needs. What if I'm not sure if an activity is allowed?

Just ask away and we'll be happy to explain any limitations we have. When in doubt, remember our motto: "Take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but footprints."
